Alex Da Corte "Hot Dog with Ketchup" Postcard

Sale price$5.00
This Whitney Shop-exclusive postcard, featuring co-curator Alex Da Corte's Hot Dog with Ketchup (2026) was produced on the occasion of the Roy Lichtenstein: Like New exhibition. Beginning with a printout of Roy Lichtenstein's painting Hot Dog (1963), Da Corte paints ketchup across its surface in a loose, bodily sweep.

The show offers a bold reconsideration of Lichtenstein for the present. Bringing together roughly 130 works made from the early 1940s through the 1990s, the exhibition traces how his early interest in perception and visual recognition shaped a career-long investigation into duplication, simulation, and image culture. Across painting, drawing, collage, prints, sculpture, and film, Lichtenstein treated images as unstable forms that could be borrowed, translated, reframed, and transformed.
