From the charged, almost theatrical, atmosphere of Early Sunday Morning, (1930) and the spatial dynamics and warm glow of City Roofs, (1932) to the sweeping blue horizontal span of Manhattan Bridge, (1925-26) each open edition celebrates the dynamic city that both Hopper and the Whitney have called home.
