We asked Jason Polan to interpret our new downtown location using one of his signature illustrations. The result has proven to be our most in demand postcard to date.
Jason Polan was an artist living in New York City. He exhibited his work all over the world. His Every Person in New York book represents a slice of the more than 100,000 people he drew for his project -a project that perhaps most singularly encapsulates the inclusive and generous spirit Jason brought to his artistic practice.
On most days Jason could be found between his regular haunts of the post office, a bookstore, his favorite museums, and regular meetings of the Taco Bell Drawing Club-an everybody welcome weekly drawing club that he originally founded upon moving to New York as a way to meet people.
