Water Tower Model

Brooklyn-based collagist Nina Boesch uses recycled displosed metrocards to create intricate collages. She is also obsessed with water towers. Nina’s latest recycled art project is an ongoing series of custom designed water tower sculptures. Each of the Whitney's water towers is made of machined brass with a plastic cylinder as the tank portion. The plastic cylinders have had a previous life as produce bag rollers in a local grocery store. The color of our tower is inspired by the warm sun drenched palettes of Hopper's images of rooftops of New York City.
