Inspired by the 2019 Biennial performance of Nibia Pastrana Santiago with whom she collaborated in May; Daniela Fabrizi created these oversized and vibrant tote bags as a celebration of both material and space.
Reversible and made from a water-resistant ripstop nylon so strong it is more commonly used for parachutes! This is a fabric the artist has used in her primary practice as a costume designer where she has worked with such greats as Oscar Winner Ruth E. Carter and they are her first foray into consumer products with her brand LeChatCostumier.
This tote is modelled by Raul, who worked closely with nibia pastrana santiago. This is Raul's first Whitney Biennial. Each tote is sold separately and color will be randomly selected.
