This beautiful handmade silk scarf was produced exclusively for the Whitney Museum Shop. It is a stunning reproduction of a still from Oskar Fischinger's Raumlichtkunst, a 3-screen HD installation, which is on view currently in Dreamlands:Immersive Cinema and Art, 1905–2016. Scarf measures 36 inches square. 100% silk. Dry clean only.

Oskar Fischinger (1900-1967) was a German-American abstract animator, filmmaker, and painter, and most notable for creating abstract musical animation many decades before the appearance of computer graphics and music videos. He made over 50 short films, and painted around 800 canvases, many of which are in museums, galleries and collections worldwide.
